Mr. John Smith owner of the well known retail home furnishing showroom ,Whatever Furniture,
found himself in an unusual situation when a major shopping mall opened blocking off his premises from most traffic. Before
the mall even had it's grand opening Mr. Smith's cash flow had taken a drastic drop. He decided to retire but needed to get
some money for his existing stock and floor samples with a cost value of just over 280 thousand.
Lucky for him his lawyer and accountant both had experienced our rescue of clients of theirs
in the past and highly recommended he contact us.
When our Consultants went to see the situation it was obvious that the present location was
worthless. So we got the CEO of the new mall to rent us one of the still empty stores in the mall where we setup a spectacular
sales event using Mr. Smith's inventory.
To make a long story not only did we sell every scrap of the existing furniture but had to
bring in truck loads from Mr. Smith's suppliers and our own contacts. The planned two week clearance sale ended running for seven
weeks and had sales in the region of 3.2 million.
The happy ending is that Mr. Smith did not retire but leased the showroom space in the
new shopping mall, is doing very well and has asked us to plan, organize and manage an annual sales event to celebrate his
success.
